Bone Density Test

Bone Density Imaging devices helps doctors find the best cure for treating each condition

Bone Densitometry Test

This test is done to measure the minerals and density of spine, hip or lower arm in order to check for osteopenia, osteoporosis or future bone fracture risk. This test is operated through various imaging such as X-ray, special kind of CT scan that is connected to a software or DXA (DEXA). It is noted that DXA or DEXA is considered the most accurate and standard method to measure bone density.

Farjad group's bone densitometry section is equipped with Hologic Discovery DXA System which provides:

-High-resolution digital detector array, which improves fracture detection visualization of abdominal aortic calcification

-high quality images; including hip and spine captured in as fast as 10 seconds

-superb visualization, an exclusive Hologic design that utilizes a high-resolution detector array paired with true fan-beam linear acquisition geometry.
